missing pune...

my tryst with pune started way back in year 2003 when i completed my graduation in computer science...

dad was keen about me doing my masters in computer science...i however wanted to start earning as soon as possible..

hence i had no intentions of taking up M.Sc (computer science) or M.C.A...

its then when i thought of taking up DAC ...thts diploma in advance computing... a course conducted by CDAC...

i still remember the day when my online test results were out.. :) a day i will chersih all my life :)

dad gifted me with nokia 2300 my first every mobile fone... :)

i got a seat in Infoway CDAC PUNE ...and i started preparing for my next rounds of selection :)

Finally the day came when we all..mom dad and me ...headed for pune...

I was attracted to the city for its wonderful climate :)

We stayed in pune for about 3-4 days and finally after the completion of all rounds went back to nagpur....

In another month i was back to the cultural capital...FIRST time all away from home to build my career..:)

6 months of disciplined routine...never ending practical assignments...never ending chai breaks and coffee breaks...a syllabus that

included every possible programming language ..operating system..database ;)...bzness communication classes!! :)

huh wht a journey it was!! :)

Along with all this ..made some wonderful friends... :)

today after completing more than 3 years in the IT industry..i wud say i owe a lot to CDAC..a lot to pune!!

Stay at pune helped me evolve as an individual..helped me explore myself...

I cherish every moment spent in this wonderful city..even today i look for execuses to visit the city...

i miss prasanna snax where we used to relish poha..chai and vada paav..umm i still have the taste fresh in my mouth!!

chaitanya parathas..where we used to have aloo cheez paratha...green peas paratha...!! yummy!! :)

the small lil grocery shop on the opposite side of the hostel...i miss every lil thing!! :)

the huge balcony where i used to sit and study (sometimes ;))

the view from the hostel window..beautiful parvati...the phone booth on ther side of the road where we all used to line up for calls... ;)
various maggi preparations at hostel... :) maggi with chuda masala...garam masala :) :)

talks..discussions wid all my classmates abt wrking with the best s/w cmpany..opening a company of our own..lol

talking abt life...dreams...innocently...

i miss every lil thing..

how i wish i cud turn back time and re live those wonderful days..

Can i plss rewind go back and live few of those days again?? :) pls pls GOD plss!! :)

Kangana Ranaut....

this blog is dedicated to the one of the most wonderful actresses of bollywood KANGANA RANAUT!!

i still remmber reading an article about kangana by the Bhatts..which was published a few days before the release of the super hit film GANGSTER...the Bhatts had declared her as the next Madhuri Dixit...

i had loved kangana in gangster...her screen presence ..her expressions..her style.....

everything was just so prefect....not even in a single frame did i feel that she was a debuatant and trying to prove herself...

i then saw her next release KYA MUJHEY PYAAR HAIN...she once again sizzled on the silver screen...portrayed the character effortlessly..a pscho who cud get all the symapthy from the audience...her chemistry with Shiney Ahuja's character in the movie reflected beautifully....

her performances in LIFE IN A METRO and RAAZ-2 again were remarakable..

BUT BUT this ladyz performance in FASHION is by far indeed her best perfomance...

whther it be her walk on the ramp or her abusive relationship with her bf..or her stay at the rehab centre...

aah...she potrays it all effortlessly....

m a big Madhur Bhandarkar  movie fan..as a spectator i have loved all his wrk..his approach towards realsitic cinema has alwasy been wonderful..and this time with an actress like kangana...his movie has set new standards for hindi cinema....

her switching moods from throwing tantrums at the model co-ordinator to immediately walking professionally on the ramp...just portray her capabilities as an actress... :)

Kangana's walk on the ramp with the 'Mar Jaawa' number in the background is by far one of the scenes that i have enjoyed the most..the way she lifts her hands up..followed by Karan Johar and others in the audience clapping their hands..adds a magical touch to the movie....she looks like a Goddess blessing mankind :)

i am not a movie critic...this performance review for Kangana is straight from the heart...:)

just a small appreciation :)

FASHION indeed is kangana's movie :)

Kangana has set new standards for herself...hope she continues doing good cinema.. :)

My Flight from Bangalore to Nagpur...

Any experience that has the word "first time" associated with it has alwasy been vvery special to me...:)

This being my vvery first blog will again be vvery special to me :)

Dad working at a respectable post had travelled by air ..but then since v had a middle class upbringing v never followed a lavish lifestyle....i still remember bugging my dad for hours asking him to describe what all happens when u travel by air..:) how do u feel when the flight takes off..how do u feel when u see out from the window??

Every question and the answer received wud just make me more and more curious abt the experience...:)

However dad was always admant about not paying for airfares since he felt it was way too expensive..and out of our affordable bracket...

The day finally came when i booked my first air tickets from bangalore to nagpur..Air Deccan..that is all wht i cud afford..:)

Me being hyper by nature..and alwasy overexcited abt the tinniest achievements in my life....but still i was not that vvery excited about the whole affair of travelling by plane...

Now came the day when i finally went to the airport to board the flight...the first sight of the HUGE HUGE machine was enchanting for sure..but not the feeling that i wanted to experience ..

Hmm i was wondering is the flight fare seriously worth?? :(

Neways..i got into the plane..it took off..i cud see all the tall buildings reducing their size..cud see the huge ulsooor lake turn into a water drop...umm but the thght struck me again...is the fligt fare really worth??something is missing....m not getting that sense of satisafaction which i usually get when i acheive something that's really important to me....

Hmm neways....

Then came the nagpur airport...i got out of the plane..with the same "not-satisfied" feeling... :)

Got my baggage..

and came towards the exit door....

There at a distance of few meters saw my proud parents standing and watching their darling, pampered , adorable daughter walk out of the aiport...with the air tckts in her hand that she had paid for...the look in my dad's eyes ..the expression on my dad's face made me say to myself "IT WAS WORTH :)"

No Words from the oxford dictionary can decsribe the expression i excanged with my parents ..

but yeah they were worth a miliion bucks :)

Hence wud conclude by saying ..As expected .."my first flight"  was a memorable experience..

an experience that i will cherish for the rest of my life..

It will stay with me forever and ever...:)
